I feel like I don't belong in the current year. 2020 was 5 years ago and I cannot even process this information. It seems like it was just last year.

I often wish I were living in the past decade or two, perhaps due to the fact that I was comforable in those years. I am familiar with the world of back then. Things change too quickly. I wasn't done enjoying dubstep, let's play videos on YouTube and the iPod before things moved on. I wasn't done living in a skeuomorphic and tactile digital environment. I wasn't done discovering new shows on cable television. I wasn't done discovering new Flash games online. I wasn't done living a life where you could go completely offline when exiting your house without others trying to convince you to get a cellphone. I wasn't done living in the past before the past left the station.

I am not ready to give up on software ownership. I am not ready to give up on physical media. I am not ready to give up on magazines. I am not ready to deal with modern electronics which are not repair friendly. I am not ready to face the present! I just want to go back! But unless if I can get my hands on a time machine (I heard there was one in Costco, but I have yet to find it), I will be stuck here forever.

I know the past 1½ decade had its flaws and was by no means perfect, but know that this is just my own experience and I just let my mind wonder and ramble extremely late into the night.

One thing I enjoy doing is a little activity that I call "Library Archeology," that I do in -you guessed it- the library.

Call me a nerd, but I enjoy reading all sorts of textbooks for fun. And more often than not, I find interesting pieces of paper left in between the pages by the previous borrower(s), which were probably used as bookmarks.

The papers in question can be fascinating. 2008 concert tickets, receipts from the 80's printed on dot matrix printer paper, old homework scribbles, I've seen them all. I haven't found money yet though.

The next time you're bored at the library, give this activity a shot. Find an old book that looks to have been borrowed a lot and check its contents. You may be surprised on what you will be able to find.

I don't use social media. This is the closest thing I have to a social network. I need to talk to somebody.

It all happened so soon. Yesterday he came up to see me in my room, but I was not available to pet him. I wish I knew. This morning at eleven thirty, when I finally woke up and went to the bathroom, my parents discovered him in a very concerning state. They rushed him immediately to the vet, but it was too late.

He passed away only a few hours ago. I didn't even get to see him today. He seemed fine yesterday, all was routine. He was ill, but I did not understand the severity.

If you have pet, please spend some time with them.

My avatar sucks and I am thinking about changing it. But I also don't want to change it. You see, I set my avatar back when Newgrounds allowed you to have an avatar for your page, and an icon for everywhere else (both could be totally different images). This feature has been removed a while ago, and if I were to change my avatar I will no longer have two different images.

I should have chosen something better than a picture (not even a screenshot) of a bunch of error messages as my avatar and a picture of a bird stealing a bag of chips from a store as my icon back then so I wouldn't have this dilemma today.
